Charmcaster padded out of the warriors den and looked around the camp to see if any other cat was up and moving about. The air was very chilly seeing the temperature was dropping now when it got dark. Giving a shiver she padded over to the fresh kill pile and made a face. Low. Terribly low.
Sighing she had to think, did she want to lead a patrol or get a hunting party started so cats could wake up to something warm in their stomachs to eat. Pondering this for a long time she finally came to a decision, she would wait to see who would wake up, warrior or apprentice and see if they wanted to join her on a patrol.

The chill was enough to wake Shadesong, creeping through her pelt like icy claws. No matter how she turned in her nest, there was no fern warm enough to get her comfortable. Her dreams slipped away as her mind slowly came into focus, and her eyes flitted open to the muted light of morning. With a sigh that came out in a cloud of vapor, she stretched, and she stood. She ducked her head out of the den to see how many cats were awake; the camp wasn't busy and she couldn't see many others around. Too early, she thought forlornly, but the rumble of her stomach was what drove her to pad out into the camp in search of food.
The only other cat she could see in the clearing was the warrior Charmcaster, a she-cat she wasn't all too familiar with, but as she trotted up to the fresh-kill pile, she offered her a friendly purr. "Good morning," she mewed, nosing through the pile for something to eat. Shadesong picked out a small-looking squirrel and settled herself beside the other cat. "It's chilly out today." With a flick of her ear, she took a small bite of squirrel, reveling the taste and the satisfying rumble of her stomach.

Charmcaster perked her ears up at the sight of the medicine cat and blinked a few when the cat padded over to the fresh kill pile then to her. She was not very close with this medicine cat like she was with the ones in the past but maybe that was something she had to work on by herself. She liked being close with everyone, even the smallest kit. A chill ran through her body when Shadesong mentioned about the weather. She was right. The temperature was starting to drop even when the sun had to be out. I liked it better when it was warmer.. the warrior mewed with a smile on her face. clod weather just means harder times for the clans.. she finished.
